Colorado Spirit Quest # 484 Beaver Park Cemetery

! The Exciting Cache Series!

“COLORADO SPIRIT QUEST”

REMEMBER:

If you are APPREHENSIVE about cemeteries – AVOID this series.

The Colorado Spirit Quest is a series of Caches placed by many individuals, near cemeteries and historic sites in hopes of paying respect to the many pioneer ancestors that have ‘walked’ before us.

If you are interested in being a part of this project, contact may be made by sending an e-mail to the owner of “Colorado Spirit Quest #1 – Mountain Passage”.  Use the ‘Send Message” link at the center of the page of their profile.

There are hundreds of cemeteries in the rural and mountain communities across Colorado.  This series will introduce you to many of them.

The cache pages will provide a virtual history tour of the cemeteries and tombstones.

The CSQ endeavor is an enormous and relentless task and will only flourish if there is a multitude of volunteer cachers  willing to place these caches.

After locating the cache container, take some time to reflect back on the lives of those pioneers and the effort it took to make Colorado such a great state.

Each person that places a CSQ cache is responsible for its maintenance.

Thanks to the volunteers: Greasepot, Taylorgeotracker, Ivy Dog Parents, Team Boogity3, Grand High Pobah, Boborr 80909, Imusttravel2000, Buzz Lightyear I, Sandhill 49er, MrVolkswagen, Isisfan, Rockymtn8iv, Fork-L-Man, Outdrlvr201, Condor1, 2Cachedivers, arthurat, smilz787, Kyotmoon, Mountain Roamer, SugarPug, Team Tiger Pride, ernie66, drnetwork, Team w-bar-v, Dynamite Rabbit, DustyKat, mtnbirders, RustyBeerCan & Marma, grymreaper, nteclpr, Moose1 & Mama Moose, Joe Friday, 3cacheteers, 3cacheteers, Dasha Aussies, KB0UMW, hiking_fool, tripping, res71cue and 1Mrs1Ogre, and nickgatt, kingbee, The misgnoners, rbradu, shashyaz&foxy, Bugranger, Lyonden ut., Any Direction, Sewnssew, The Meandering Monkeys, Charlie-n-Geri, skibum1, gooftroop 4, stubywwjd, MaDDoGGaming, kingbee, Wolverine, Random Acts, lbmiller, BTBugs, God chaser, imcasey, lesslost2, Back Country Horseman, vorticity, Triggur, Eagle 2, imyy4u2, MikeAndJuli, and 9-rushman&farmgirl79.

I was to occupied looking at the wrong tree when I hear heh324 say, "Over here boys..." happy to obtain another Spirit Quest cache that brings me one step closer to signing the challenge and also happy that heh324 earned another degree for her 360° challenge.

Quick find today with heh324 and fearthefish. heh324 is working on her 360 degree challenge and we were in the area picking up a couple caches for her after we made a detour from our original plan.

All is well here with the cache and log.

Found GC5G27Q - Colorado Spirit Quest #484-Beaver Park Cemetery, on August 23, 2017 using Cachly for iOS.

Thank you, 9-rushman&farmgirl79 for placing a fun cache for all of us to enjoy and giving back to the community. I look forward to finding more of your caches. I also look forward to potentially finding Geocaches with you one day and sharing stories of our hobby or should I say addiction? Cheers!

Out and about caching with heh324 and PayMeCache because they are both foolish enough to go caching with me. Today they were doubly foolish because they let me drive. You don't give the guy with caching ADD the keys to the geomobile.

But I digress.

Today's detour brought us down to Pueblo. This cache was picked because we all love the Spirit Quest series and it helps heh324 get one step closer to completing the 360° challenge. She's becoming a challenge addict too. We are so proud of her.

I enjoyed our stop and appreciate that you have kept this cache around for the rest of us to enjoy. Thanks for the fun hide.

So here is today's story: Last week fearthefish, PayMeCache and I set out to do the Challenge power trail off of highway 24 down towards Colorado Springs. As it turns out, there are lots of caches between where we started and where the plan was to end up and needless to say when fearthefish is involved the word DETOUR is spoken about every other sentence. The end of that story is we never even made it to the power trail!! (but with immense gratitude for fearthefish we had a fantastic day of caching) Which brings us to today....we all agree we are going to hit the power trail off of Highway 24. Can you hear what is coming next??? AGAIN, we never made it. This time though, we actually passed it and made a last minute detour to Pueblo instead. Looks like we'll have to see what next week brings....

Made the stop because we all dig the Spirit Quest series and it also earned me a degree in the Colorado 360 Challenge. TFTC
