In the fading light, under the scrutiny of a large bird of prey perched in a tree nearby, serenaded by a large pack of coyotes, this cache was placed. Things moving through the darkness shaking bushes and snapping twigs. Where is that sound coming from? Am I alone with this cache or is there something just out of my sight crouched and ready to pounce?

If you find it, please put it back as found!

Congratulations to Fearthefish, PayMeCache, and Kroozer as Co-FTF's !!!

Wow, quite the adventure. It was a bit messy and took me a couple of passes but I was able to make the find. Now home to wash my clothes. Thank you for placing this cache and helping to keep our recreation going.

I will agree with others that the coords are spot on. Even knowing that it still took me a while to find it. TFTC

When I started 2018, I had 20 spots left to fill on my Fizzy (D/T) grid. I thought if I cut that number in half by the end of the year, that would be a good accomplishment. I'm only finding about 350 - 400 caches a year on average. As you can see from the attached picture, I definitely had a ways to go! In fact, it was kind of intimidating. But when I first started caching in 2014, I had figured that this is something I'd never achieve.

However, thanks to some new hides and some concerted efforts, I started getting closer. And as I neared the end of the year, I thought it might just be possible to complete the whole grid in 2018! I have looked at this particular cache many times online. Reading the logs, studying the area, trying to understand what I'd be up against.

Finally the day has arrived. I had thought about doing this on December 31, but given the frigid temps coming, I decided to take advantage of the nicer weather today. My kids and I headed over here and we were all surprised by what we saw at GZ. I expected something like this but wasn't totally sure what to expect.

I was prepared and did the honors of the exploration. I had read that the coords were spot on and I trusted that that was true. And sure enough, they were perfect! In fact, they were so good that I found the cache in practically the first place I looked! That was a pleasant surprise given the difficulty level. But it was such an incredible relief to have this found and this challenge completed!! What a great way to end the year.

Thanks for the hide Rohatx. I appreciate you keeping this cache active for everyone to enjoy.

Decided to go for this one today while I was in Parker since it filled a D/T spot. Had the right TOTT once I found it. TFTC!

Sent the huggle in after it since I am on injured reserve with a broken pinky but I knew he had to have gone past it so I crawled in anyway & found it. The 2nd place I looked. The coordinates are perfect for sure. Thanks for the fun challenge.

Out with geoguru1 today on some tougher caches. Missed it last time, but I had not done the crawl, so decided that was my job today. Right idea, but I actually missed it on first pass. Geoguru got it on followup. Very easy to miss visually. Great hide, giving fave. SL
