Falcon Middle School (FMS) is home to the Firebirds.  Gampa taught math and coached cross country and track at FMS for 17 years.  The staff and students at FMS are wonderful.  The school colors are red and gold.

 

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.  Solve the following puzzle to determine where the cache is hidden.

 

A Falcon Middle School student is standing at the published coordinates.  She walks due north for 1,200 steps, turns 90 degrees to the right, and walks due east for 1,200 steps.  Her stride length is exactly 27 inches.  She then stops and hides a cache.  Can you find her cache?

I needed one more caching outing to get the 3-2-1 souvenir so grabbed this one while out trying to find a store open to get forgotten pie ingredients. Luckily, I had solved this one shortly after it published. Thanks for placing this cache for me to find. TFTC.

I think this took longer to find then to solve the puzzle. Seems like the colors would make it easy to spot but it's well hidden. Found after about 20 minutes. Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the fun puzzle! After a few conversions and a quick visit to my favorite geocaching website I got a green light first go! Now when to get out there. Holy moley I picked the wrong day and time. It was windy, misty, and soooooo cold! Made the search a little difficult. Who puts bison tubes in pine trees!? Oh yeah.... that guy... Seems someone else has picked up my slack! ha ha! Well after a few times around, in and out, around and around, back in (it was a bit warmer inside) and there it was! Stamped and signed the log and replaced as found. Honestly if it were camo'd and not the school colors I would never have found it! Thanks for that little break at least! Fun puzzle, fun hunt, back to the heat of the car!

FTF Saw this publish last night and thought I’d solved it but checker did not give me the green light. Looked at it again this morning and felt confident I was right so came out anyway and there it was, right colors and all.
