This is the location of Lexis Ralston's camp on June 22, 1850, when he made the first documented gold find in Colorado. This was documented in a diary that a fellow member of the group kept, and it stated, "We called this Ralston's Creek because a man of that name found gold here".

Do you ever get the COs note saying the cache is there but you think it’s not possible because you touched or looked at every square inch? Well, that happened again! Thanks to the CO for the tip. Enjoyed a great geocycle ride before the snow hit.
