Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  Parking available  Park and Grab

Probably most of us don't know that "Divide" was originally named "Hayden's Divide" after a man by the name of Ferdinand Hayden.  He was a geologist, surveyor and palentologist who helped to map out the area.  It is known as "Divide" because water run-offs separated, at this point, and ran off in various directions.

This camo tapped fizzy container cache is located near the trailhead at Hayden Divide Community Park.  If necessary, you can remove it to sign the log but please re-attach it in the vicinity of where you found it.  It is a log only.  B.Y.O.P.

Dogs are not allowed in the playground area and should be kept on a leash and the ball field is only available by special permission on a rental fee basis.  There is a 2.5 mile loop for your walking pleasure.  Please do not block the roadways.  There should be ample parking.

The park is open from dawn till dusk.

Hello from the west coast! Jimlips and I are visiting from northern California. Our goals are to get both Tarryall, and Mingo, among other fine caches. My muggle brother joined us today, and he made most of the finds...without a GPSr! We made this a QEF...TNLNSL ~ Thanks Approve

FTF at 6:08 a.m !
I saw this cache and nearby Big Daddy (GC80BA4) post last night, but waited until this morning, hoping to get the coveted FTF, and I was not disappointed. Conditions were ideal for geocaching in November in Colorado -- sub-freezing temps, ankle deep snow, darkness, and using a flashlight to look for a micro in a pine tree. Awesome -- Favorite Point Cool
Thanks for the history lesson; I never knew where "Divide" got its name, nor did I know where the Hayden Fire got its name.
Stamped the log as FTF (see attached photo), and was on my way.
TFTC !
