Here is another challenge for those of you who, like me, are looking for challenges to strive for on your way to completing higher challenges!  Keep reading to see if you qualify for this challenge.

Congrats estrek on FTF!

This cache IS at the posted coordinates, however as it is a challenge cache, keep reading to see if you qualify!

This challenge cache is simple, it requires that you attend 10 events of any type!  Keep in mind that Mega-Events, Groundspeak Events, CITO events, etc. all count for this challenge!

Here in Northern Colorado we have a wonderful community of geocachers and it has been wonderful meeting all the great people at events these last few months!  I didn't really know what events were, and by the time I figured it out all the ones in August had passed, so I waited until the monthly meeting in September to meet all the people whose names I had seen all over the place!  Sometimes you just don't know what to expect, but I have been pleased with all my new friends and acquaintances!

I started going to events, not only to meet all the great new people, but there are also plenty of challenge caches around that require that you attend at least one event, and Memfis Mafia has Event-only Challenges that made me want to go to every one I could find!  He has one for 5 events (GC4ZQKX) and one for 25 events (GC4ZQM4), so this one will be a nice filler while you work your way up to the 25 event challenge!

As of writing this challenge, I have attended 10 events and 1 CITO event, making it 11 total events I have attended.  I am still working my way up to Memfis Mafia's higher challenge myself, and I have enjoyed driving to places such as Colorado Springs, Laramie, and Greeley for events, and its great meeting people from different areas who all have different stories and do geocaching differently.  You may enjoy meeting people, or just showing up, saying "hi" and going back to caching but either way, Events are a great addition to Geocaching and you should strive to attend as many, or as little, as you want!

To log this cache as found, simply post an image of your statistics page showing the number of events you have attended, or type it into your log and make sure your profile is set to "public" so that I can verify your qualifications if necessary.  There is no need to post which events you have attended, but if you would like, feel free to tell us about your favorite event, or best experience at an event!

If you do not qualify for this cache, or do not post your qualifications in a reasonable amount of time, I may delete your log.  I understand that life happens, so if you cannot verify it right away, please say so in your log and I'll give you time.  You can always sign the log and do a "write note" saying you don't qualify yet, and then you won't have to come back at a later date to sign the log again, you may just switch it to "Found It" at the point you qualify.  This will make it easier for those of you who are traveling or do not live here to mark this cache off your list.

I hope you enjoy this challenge, and look for my other challenges in the area.  Events are fun so I hope you enjoy attending them on your way to qualifying for this cache!

Since all you need to do to qualify for an event is "show up" I am basing the difficulty/terrain on travel to reaching 10 events, but as it is not "hard" to walk in a door and say hello this will be mainly a terrain rating-travel based cache.  I understand that there may be events with extra requirments, such as hiking to the top of a mountain and being there at an exact time, but since you can join us at the Northern Colorado Monthly Dinner events once a month, it can be very easy to attend events.

Looking at my stats, I see I have attended 115 events. We were in the area today and stopped to grab the cache. Nobody was around and we had a quick find.

I made it with 184 finds and needed only 24

MPLC

Our English is not perfect, we use Google Translate to help us ...

Our journey began last August 22 and will take us to visit twelve US states and two Canadian provinces ... Our departure was from Baie-Comeau, a city on the North Shore of Quebec and then continue for a few days in Quebec City where we did some Geocaching .... Then we stopped at St-Eustache and Ville de Laval, still in Quebec, and then flew to Portland, Oregon... We made stop in Umatilla on August 28 still in Oregon, August 29 in Boise, Idaho, August 30 in Twin Falls and August 31st we are in Salt Lake City for two days... The 2nd of september we were in Rock Springs. Wyoming and the september 3 the road brought us to Laramie, Wyoming... On September 4th and 5th we were in the Colorado Spring area, CO ... Today we are heading to Fort Collins, CO

Throughout the trip we have targeted some caches that will help us achieve our personal goals and we will certainly discover new places that Geocachers here will want us to discover ... We have been planning this trip for several months and know we will not be able to not all see for lack of time ... There are many caches but we must close our eyes can not find them all ... But it is with pleasure that we will put our signature on some of them ...

Thank you for creating these caches that add smiles to our profile and make us have a good time regardless of the mood of Mother Nature ... Our log will be the same for the whole day and if there is a particularity we will add it at the beginning of the text ... Favorites will be added here and there for all the work done ... TFTC
