Shouldn't be too devious ~ but you can never tell about those penguins!! While we await the annihilation of life as we know it, we might as well avail ourselves of every opportunity to earn a smilie!Penguins appear to be debonair, harmless, nattily-attired, and somewhat cute, but DO NOT be deceived; in actuality, they are the advanced force of an invading army scheming to take over the planet and utilize it for their own evil, penguin purposes.
The latest penguin scheme (which has been centuries in the making!) is ensuring that Terran lifeforms begin to fear the number 13 (Triskaidekaphobia) and, in particular, the fear of Friday the 13th. This (irrational?) fear is known as Paraskevidekatriaphobia.
Although we are not yet certain how this plan benefits the penguins, unless their invasion forces plan to attack on a Friday the 13th and they hope to have fearful humans cowering in their houses rather than fighting the good fight, be aware and do not fall prey to this evil plot!
Historical Penguin Reference: Penguin Invasion Forces caused the massacre of hundreds of the Knights Templar on Friday, October 13, 1307 through a decree from their puppet King of France.
Just the Facts: The 13th day of the month is slightly more likely to be a Friday than any other day of the week. On average, there is a Friday the 13th once every 212.35 days. There is at least one Friday the 13th in every calendar year and this combination, at most, can occur three times a year (2009 is one such year). The longest period that can occur without a Friday the 13th is fourteen months, either from July to September the following year (e.g. in 2001/2002 and 2012/13), or from August to October the following leap year (e.g. in 2027/28).
