Take Hwy. 141 to 6.3 Road (Notch Road). Four wheel drive is not required but higher than average clearance is a good idea.
The Cache is an ammo can that contains a log book and the standard notice plus the following items: dog biscuits, paratrooper toy, fashion pin, crayons, hand warmer, refrigerator magnet and a bass can cozy.
You will be treated to an excellent view of the La Sals.

Interesting road, I'll have to check the maps for a loop and return, quite scary looking at the potential drop. Start out driving in a river bed and end up on the side of a cliff! Cache was an easy find, road was an over-heater. Never been in this part of the country. Thanks for the adventure.

Took the dogs out to find this cache and the Calamity camp one. Only had time to get this one though because there was a huge storm rolling in and didn't want to get caught on the side of the mountain. Made it off but the road was washing away as we were coming down so good timing!
Beautiful location, had a quick lunch after we found the cache.

Found it on our way back to our campsite on the Uncompahgre after looking for 405.3c for two days during Labor Day Weekend! Was after the $20 peso bill left by Gne. Located with 6mo old baby Dalton strapped in the front carrier & hubby leading the way. 106th find! T-$20 Peso, L-Lady Bug my mo painted! TFTC!

Took the mouse, left 20 peso bill. Beautiful spot! What a road. I was coming down from Divide. Never been on this road before - loved it! Would hate to be on it in the rain though. TFTC!

Great road, awesome views. We were racing rain clouds today and found the road just a little muddy at the top ... considered driving on to hit Divide Road but decided the weather was unpredictable and saved that leg for another day. Stopped several times on the way down to enjoy the view and the dramatic weather across the canyons. Left - frog bean bag and Took smiley magnet TFTC!
