Just north of the townsite of Caribou, many remnants dot the mountains where hopeful prospectors and the investors who backed them hoped to make good on the riches believed to be hidden in the ground. At this site sits the rusting remains of pneumatic compressors. High tech machines for the their time and absolutely indispensable for tunneling operations. They were somewhat noisy in the days of operation. They are nothing but Quiet now as they return to the earth.
