Beavers might eat Tewksberries if they existed but a Tewksberry is not a fruit.  It's the name of a trail in southern Colorado.

If you do an internet search for Tewksberry, you will probably be directed to Tewksbury with many results.  If you persist you will eventually find that Tewksberry is the name of a trail with one trailhead between Beaver Creek and the South Fork (of the Rio Grande) river, not far from South Fork, Colorado.  Why the spelling has changed is not recorded, at least not in easy to find records.

This trail is part of a "mulit-use" area on the Rio Grande National Forest.  Hunting, livestock grazing and many other activities are common in the area.  There is even a youth camp and retreat center near the cache that is on forest service land.

What a clever cache name! We have fond memories of hiking the Tewksberry Trail in a blinding hailstorm as a few hundred cattle were driven up the trail past us. The drovers were pretty sure we had lost our minds.
