First FTF with skimirrors!!!

I saw this cache publish last weekend but due to the distance from our house, didn't think skimirrors and I would ever be a FTF. This morning it was still not found, so we decided to venture out to see if we could get it...and venture we did! We didn't do a very good job of planning and actually went into Sterling (for cachers coming from the west, this isn't necessary).

By the time we got close to GZ, we now know why no one had gone after it...it is way out there! And of course we didn't read the parking instructions, so we shimmied under barbed wire closer to ground zero than the CO recommends. We should have read more closely!

I have no idea how the CO found such a spot to hide a cache, but it is a great place out on the plains! We found the cache quickly (love those boxes), took a tire gauge, left a toy sneaker and a trackable, and made the trek back to Denver for the A.L.E. #13 geocaching event.

Thank you for placing this cache and allowing us a FTF! We can't FTF in Denver because our geopals are crazy and will go after caches at midnight...not something skimirrors and I can't do! Since this may be our only one ever, we are grateful for its placement.

TFTC! :)
