Headed this way because lasouthpaw wanted a cache for her D/T grid. I've learned any time she says "there's this challenge..." it's best to just nod and go along. We got a late start, but had a great hike out and back.

I will say this one is more difficult than the others I've been to. It was fun to watch lasouthpaw wander about and explain her thought process. Once she zeroed in and saw just the slightest thing out of the ordinary she found it in seconds. I was impressed. We decided to favorite this one. Thanks for the cache!

I've been craving some time in the mountains and luckygecko is in town, so we headed over to Golden and the Beaver Brook Trail. We got here mid-afternoon and it was cloudy, but that was a good thing because it kept the temperature around 65 degrees. About a mile down the trail I realized I made a rookie mistake and forgot a pen. And we were just a little too far to go back and get one. Wouldn't you know it, we found a pencil while we were looking for the first one along the trail. After visiting the oldie nearby, this one wasn't too much farther so we headed this way. Went to where the phones zeroed out and scratched our heads. Looked around, scratched our heads some more. Widened the zone, no luck. Hmmmm... Went back to where the phones zeroed out and started again. Had a head slapping moment when we found the cache. Everything was in good shape here. Giving this one a favorite point! @Guwisti @ssiler @Vbrewer64 Thanks for the smiley! Find #3454.

This was a tricky one! Definitely needed all the clues we could get. Looking at the log, it was over a year since anyone found it. I'll save you some time by saying that it wasn't hanging on any tree branches. TFTC!

Heading out to get the Trail Mix cache. There was just enough melt for me to make the find. I happened to just catch a glimpse of something that looked suspicious.

While visiting a clients house in Highlands Ranch, animjason text me and asked me if I would join him for a 6+ mile hike to go after a cache that had not been found yet. I had planned on grabbing a couple multi-caches close to my clients house with a friend but his day was changed due to election day and kids being out of school. I always enjoy caching with animjason so I took his offer to join him on a hike in the Golden area.
This was my sixth cache find today. Since animjason had not found this one it was our second cache that we both signed our names on the log. I had lost service on my phone on the way up to this one so we were using animjason's phone for navigation. However my geosenses helped at this location and we made the find quickly. Signed the log, and we headed on up the trail for cache that had not been found yet. Thanks for a fun cache in a beautiful area.
