Another ammo can in the series.
A high clearance vehicle is highly recommended.and may require 4x4 drive. Please note that there is one dangerous section where the jeep trail is very narrow, the terrain is rocky with tree roots to boot, and the drop off is severe (a five star pucker rating for me). Look for a painted sign on the rock face that states: "Danger: Keep Left" and heed the warning.

The cache is an ammo can with a log book, pen and pencil, and a variety of trading items. The terrain rating is simply to get to the cache area. At the cache site terrain is about 2.0 stars.Enjoy!

Thanks, mondou2! An ammo can in the mountains gets a favorite point from me. This morning I came up to the mountains to find geocaches in both Clear Creek and Gilpin counties. The roads were a lot rougher than I expected, and there was still snow in some sections. I am glad I was able to do a loop and not have to go back the way I came. We recently bought a Subaru Forester, so we had the all wheel drive and ground clearance necessary for these roads, but it was a new experience for me. The Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Camry would never have made it. It was a lot of fun, and I hope to come back to the mountains several more times in the next few months on the paved and unpaved roads in the area.

Had a great time out today with the goal being going up to Loch Lomand. The aspens are in all their splendor now, and there was weather moving in. Not long before all this is covered by snow again . Thanks! GreasePot from Golden, CO

Cache not exactly where it should have been but we put it back! Found with Team Blue Rubicon's Bubbaraye while out hiding new caches! Heck of an adventure today... helped several people stuck or broken down on the Jeep trails. Really enjoyed our smileys today! TFTC!
