I was surprised to be awarded with one of the Community Celebration Events, as I am terrible at actively participating in events (although I do show up when I can and hang out on the sidelines while I observe everyone else socializing, haha). At one event, it did help that I was wearing a shirt that says "Introverted but willing to discuss dogs," and then other attendees knew exactly how to strike up a voluntary conversation with me.
I actually have been wanting to host a series of events for awhile, but haven't gotten brave enough to do it yet. I would hate to let this special icon go to waste, so here I am hosting this one. We will be right next to a playground so that LilRyRy and CDRSheppo can hopefully stay entertained. I am crossing my fingers that the weather is fair! Who knows in Colorado in late October, right?
