Found 15 caches in this park with Bhob while targeting the Trailmix cache, and the oldie. We parked at the east lot, and clocked just over 8 miles.
I tackled this from the east parking, and didn't see any closures from my approach. After finding the cache I went further west on the trail, and saw the closed sign for Rawhide.
Hazardous area, so my guess is fallen tree/s or black bears more active in this area. Either way, should be temporary.
Cache in great shape. Thanks for upgrading to ammo can, and for keeping this active for so long!
Would be cool owning such an oldie. Gets a fave!

Amazing how long this cache has been in the park. We have never been to this Jeffco Open Space before, and I studied the maps ahead of time to decide which areas to hike. It seems that the trails have been relocated somewhat probably since this cache was placed and we had a confusing time with some of the cache placement in relation to the maps. Removed a lighter from the container. Thanks for the hide!
