The Wells district was formed in 1887. The area was still part of Washington county at that time. The School was named for Henrey Wells and was knows as the Henry Wells district in the early years. By 1900 it has Yuma country and numbered district 6 Aaron Miller sold the district 1 acre of ground for $1.00. on the south side of the road Some point in time it was moved across the road to Section 30. The School ran until 1921 when it consolidated with Wray
