The waterfall on the entrance road to Purgatory Resort and the Purgatory Ski Area is roaring during spring runoff, and goes down to a trickle at other seasons. The nice little picnic setting is inviting most of the year, but like the cache, is not assessable during the winter due to deep snow piled up beside the road. There is a pull-out area for parking across the road.
