A short 2-stage multi in Douglas County's Columbine Open Space, a small but pleasant park along I-25 south of Castle Rock.
Columbine Open Space includes a protected area for the endangered Preble's Meadow Jumping Mouse. Due to the Mouse, no dogs are allowed in this park and hikers are not allowed in the area immediately adjacent to Plum Creek.

You may be lucky enough to see Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep said to inhabit nearby Hunt Mountain, or the usual deer, elk, pronghorn, coyote, and other typical wildlife found in this region. Wildflowers are prevalent in spring and summer.

The Douglas County website has park information and a trail map http://www.douglas.co.us/dcoutdoors/trails/open-space-trails/columbine-open-space-trail

Today, during the “You might be an Adrenaline Junkie if…” challenge, I came down to this part of town to grab some points. This cache was a blast. I brought swag and decided to add to the collection rather than swap. Did a little CITO. TFTC!

Thanks for the short hike through this area. I always drive past but never stop. Quick find at WP1. Neat to see the buildings up close.

Work brought me to Colorado Springs. I flew into Denver and on the drive down, I stopped to pick up this cache. I need to increase my Multi cache numbers. This is a nice little area. I didn't spot any jumping mice though. I dropped of a TB in the final. Thanks for hiding.

Here for an all day letterboxing event and had to get a cache for the souvenir. This was a fun one. Nice container. Stage 1 was found by some of the letterboxers who were sad it was empty. Lol. Checked it when we left for the day and all was well.
