I took a more or less direct route over from Fairview, making small detours around the deepest snow. That might be the most logical route from Fairview, but I realized later there's an old trail or road that runs between the two peaks and it was a lot easier walking on that.
I will definitely be back here, and not just because I DNF a couple caches nearby.

Barngineer and I got together for some back country caching today, this one and three caches by the honoree were on my find list. After logging Unfair View, we made our way over to this tribute cache. I will admit I had some trouble locating it as my GZ had me about 20 feet too far north. Barngineer gave me a couple hints and eventually I came up with the container. Signed the log and then headed north for two more Denali41 caches. Thanks msstrong for this nice cache. Denali41's caches are always special finds for me, thanks for placing this in his honor.

I really liked this one The view is superb and the cache placement is nicely done. I saw about a dozen deer right nearby. I'm happy to see that the forest is starting to grow again. There were several young trees up to about 3 feet tall in the area.
Thanks for thanking Denali41, and thanks for the cache!

And thank you, msstrong, for placing this cache in such a fine location. The views are stellar. And of course I'm touched that you created the cache as a means of expressing gratitude for some of my mountain caches. My puppy Teewinot has been up to this area four times now, including today's long hike. She enjoys the place a lot, as I do. From the cache location, one gets a fair view of Fairview! I appreciated the opportunity to sign the log as {FTF}! Thanks for the cache and for the comments.

I just noticed this new cache, and am looking forward to the long hike it will require. I appreciate msstrong's hiding a cache having this message. Thanks! I enjoy hiding backcountry caches that have an objective of encouraging cache seekers to plan hikes into remote areas they might not otherwise visit.
