This is the Cottonwood tree we all knew as kids.  And once in middle school I got suspended for 2 days and spent both of them in this tree when it stood upright!  My parents never found out!!

Its and kind of a sneaky spot. Not sure of whoever whoever hit it it’s in a pretty nice size log that’s laying down cross the creek it’s pretty easy to spot from entering Vanbibber.

Previous finders said 150 or 151' north of posted, and we'd have to agree that this information is absolutely spot on. As far as we could tell, the error was directly N/S, indicating a possible fat fingering of the N coordinate. I suspect the CO probably meant 47.863, not 47.836. Anyway, now that it's been mentioned enough times, the CO should post a "Log" which will offer the opportunity to correct the coordinates. It's not as obvious how this as done as it used to be with the older gc.com web system.

Wow! Those coords are way off. Looks like the last 2 digits of the North coord were reversed. Thank you Cryptosporidium for the new coords.

Time for the owner to update the coords.

Beautiful spot, but you must use coordinates provided in logbook in order to find it.

It is really a shame when multiple people post logs indicating that the coordinates are around 150 feet off and the cache owner does not respond to fix this. I am providing corrected coordinates in my log on their behalf. Thanks.

Using the posted coordinates and my GPS it put me within 3 feet of the cache. I looked at new numbers and they are...N 39 47.862' W 105 08.723'

FTF 10:45 AM Yesterday I came to the park to get this first to find but instead found an older cache. I was delighted to get to it first this morning. I found a metal butterfly cache nearby years ago, probably when this old girl was still standing. Enjoyed the Search - Thanks
