The Fez Bandits searched valiantly for this one at an elevation of 5,120 feet above sea level on a partly cloudy, pleasant, 78°F evening, but could not find the cache. I did find the falling fence post at the coordinates, but there was no sign of a cache. I biked here, which made for an interesting approach. I initially tried to come in from the north along Brighton Rd, but the canal access path there is fenced off with a lock. So I biked down Brighton Rd. to 77th Ave. then headed up Rt. 6 & 85. At the canal crossing I was able to get on the canal access path (no signs here saying No Trespassing). From here it was an easy ride to the falling fence post, but as I mentioned earlier, I could not find it. For the bike ride back to Thornton, I went south to 224 and then caught the South Platte bike path back up to 88th Ave. It was a nice ride overall. Geocaching sure does bring me to places I wouldn't otherwise think to go! TFTC!

Had a great day caching with oz8118 today. This was the first of many. It was unclear why this one hadn't been found for so long, but it was an easy find. Thanks for the hide!

I was out caching today with Nerak2001, we stopped to give this cache a little love since it hasn't been found since 2016. The container was in great shape, although the ground was muddy getting there. Thanks for placing this one, and the fun we had finding it!
Cheers.

Thanks, danbacky1986! I eventually figured out how to approach this one from the west. Every evening I run a pocket query of the area I hope to visit the next day. It usually gives me about 1000 caches to choose from, and I just go from one to another based on recent finds and descriptions. Today I concentrated mostly on the area between I-76 and I-70 up to about 13 miles from my home, and then I got a few caches close to home on the way back. We moved here permanently last week, and this afternoon we did the paperwork for our Colorado driver licenses. It will be great to get around to all the neighborhoods in the area in the next few years. I love geocaching in Colorado, and taking at least one walk or hike along a stream, river, or green space every day.

Could not get to this one from Brighton. Blvd and a raging creek was also in the way. Decided to try access from the highway. Parked on a gravel section of road and walked. Got a little orange note from Officer Lacey of the CO state patrol. But got the smilee!

I didn't think it would be there after 8 months since the last find. I just about gave up but checked again and made the find.

I didn't think it would be there after a year. Wrong. Thank you for the cache.
