A great mountain bike ride or a good hike 3 miles in.
This cache is hidden in the newly opened Clear Creek County Open Space known as Beaver Brook Watershed. The elevation at the start is 8600, but you quickly descend to 8400. The cache is at 8800 ft.

To find the starting point, head up Hwy 103 or "Squaw Pass" Road from Evergreen Hwy 74. The gate to the open space is about 3 miles up the road at coordinates N 39 41.401, W 105 25.374. The parking area is by the gate.

The cache was placed with a small log book, pen, 2 hot wheels cars, 8 halloween finger puppets, and a retractable badge "leash".

Here's your "Survivor" tree-mail poem:

To find this cache, best stay on the path
The GPS would rather you take a cold bath
The road will take you down hills and up ridges
Near the end of the road, you'll find many riches

Took a few minutes to locate, as the GPS was very bouncy and the hint could have described a number of places. Surprised that so few find this cache, I grabbed a TB that had probably been stranded here for years.

Also a good horseback ride. Almost exactly a year since this was logged & was just a bit of a challenge to find. I decided to ride here today to check out the trails & hopefully escape the heat and smoke that kept indicating disaster for another family (Black Forest Fire). This is a great park, thanks for bringing me here. A favorite point for hiding a cache where I can ride my horse to find it.

Found with the mini's and evgnhiker. We have been in this watershed many times, and coming from different directions. Today we ventured from the Pat Creek entrance and had a nice hike through the meadow. It took us a bit of time to find the hidden container, but it was right where it was promised ... just many places to look. Thanks for the hide!

What a beautiful Open Space! The hike to locate the five caches I had on the agenda for my puppy Teewinot and me was quite special, and we located the five objectives. A serious thunderstorm threatened and then neatly passed along side of our route. I thought the location of this cache was really nice. Everything would have gone a lot faster if I'd brought my bike, but if I had done that, my puppy Teewinot would not have been able to come--and she truly enjoyed this hike! Thanks.

Our first geocaching adventure...loved it! Beautiful view down onto the sparkling upper reservoir. And with 7 kids on a mission, they found it fairly quickly. We T-a whistle + a ghost and bat finger puppet, and L- 2 bracelets and some mica.
