The cache sits atop a hill outside Golden, off a trail within Clear Creek Canyon Park. The trail head is just off of hwy 92 with parking near a clear Creek canyon park info sign. A trail leads you up to the remnants of an old rock quarry, when you reach this point you will recognize a trail which leads east uphill. This leads you up towards the cache. The path exist for about half the hike to the cache, the remaining walk require a bit of frontiersmen spirit.
A landmark to follow is the powerlines which run direcrly up the hill, if you follow the lines, you will find the cache. The cache resides at the base of a makeshift flagpole within the safe confines of manmade granite rock shelter. This flag flies high and may be seen from many points surrounding the golden area. Its worth looking before, and certianly after your climb! This cache was hidden in tribute to my significant others which participated in the mounting of this hereby banner. If for no reason other than orneryness and curiosity. A golden geocoin was left for FTF! Happy trials!

This specific d/t Is hard to find! I needed it to complete 20x fizzy. This was a tough jaunt. I should've had on pants and gaters. I was very happy when I finally had the log in hand. Tftc!

We traveled to Colorado to hear Brett Dennen and Mraz at Red Rocks. We added an extra day to the trip to grab some caches before we headed to a cabin in Evergreen. Great weekend and we found everything to be in great shape. We managed to do this one with only a few drops of rain.
Whew! Afterward, we headed to Beaujo's. My husband showed me the soles on his caching shoes. He managed to lose both soles somewhere on the way down the rocks. Hahah Thanks so much for adding fun to the weekend with a challenging hike and cache.

For some reason I did have a touch of the Blues when I started my trek to this cache. The terrain rating is appropriate and the path to this geocache is rugged. It was challenging and beautiful. I took several photographs at the peak to share with others who might be discouraged by the difficulty of this cache, but encouraged by the beauty that they will enjoy after they arrive at the coordinates. I took several moments to enjoy my surroundings before turning around and making the much easier return (on jelly legs) to my car. This geocache fills the 80th spot of my 81 grid fizzy challenge. One more to go. Tftc!

I’ve always got to make it harder then it should be. Made the hike through the snow on a brisk 27 degree day. I enjoyed the hike! Thank you for the placement!
