Old Rock Day When : Always January 7th Old Rock Day is an opportunity to enjoy and appreciate old rocks and fossils. Perhaps you can start a rock collection. You can go out on a field trip in search of old fossils (the rock kind). Or, if you choose, you can just play with old rocks. There are a lot of fun-filled, yet ill-defined, wild and wacky holidays. This is one of them. There is little information available on what this day was truly meant to mean. So, the interpretation and the means of celebration is left up to you. By definition, fossils are old rocks. Jewelry stones are old rocks. And, coal is an old rock, too. You can celebrate any or all of these old rocks today.

Went for a four hour drive on the plains today in warm temperatures and high winds. There were also a million stickers wanting to go home with me. Thanks for the placement, poolsharkycat!

Its been a long hot summer in Texas, I've been trying to get out and do a caching trip a couple of times this summer, but it never worked out. Finally managed to get a week off, and am so happy to be out here in Colorado. The weather if perfect, and there is a load of caches that need my name on Smile Thanks so much for the hide poolsharkycat, I really enjoyed finiding this cache!

Nothing better than caching along the back country roads of America! Thanks for placing these out here. Most were in good shape in these sections however i did replaced wet logs and broken containers as needed. Initialed logs

Out and about caching with PayMeCache on a nice but muddy spring day. We decided to hit the plains east of Denver since he had some work stuff out this way. Fortunately that didn't last long and we had time to find some caches. Thanks for the fun addition to a great day of caching in the mud.

P.S. PayMeCache frequently refers to me as an old fossil, which is ironic since the young punk is deaf in one ear.

fearthefish and I had hoped that I was going to be able to play today but heh324 made a couple of appointments for me that threw a wrench in our plans.

I had an estimate not far from here this morning. To be honest I wasn't too excited about coming out here. fearthefish couldn't stand that I was going to be around so many caches that he had not found and decided to throw on his shoes and drive out here to find some caches with me.

All is well here with the cache. Signed our initials on the log sheet to save space and time.
