Half-Way-Up, or half-way-down? It depends on which side of the park you start at!
White Ranch Open Space Park is one of my favorite places on the front range. Check out the other caches while you're here. There's two parking lots for the park, one at N39 49.133 W105 17.193 (7430ft.) The other is at N39 47.940 W105 14.912 (6180ft.)
The cache container is an ammo can.

I placed this container a long time ago, but got busy and never listed it. (I then forgot about it for a year and a half.) Before posting this, I checked up on it and everything was as I left it. This time, however, I got to wait through a freezing rainstorm for about 30 minutes. Thank goodness for $1 emergency ponchos!

After getting home, I looked at the elevation change on a map. The cache is at an elevation of about 7200 feet. (so it's actually less of a 50/50 than it is 20/80...)
But I already named it!

My faithful dog Dubarry and I had an awesome 7-mile, 11-geocache hike around White Ranch Park today. It's always terrific to play hooky from work on a weekday and get out and do something like this. Thanks to the CO for helping make it possible.

Grabbed the bandage that was in here because a rock opened up a cut I had on my finger while grabbing this cache. So thanks for that and for the cache!

Drove over here from Denver to grab some of these caches. Got settled in the parking lot around 10:30am and started my adventure. Roughly 8.5 miles and 4.5 hours later, I was back at the car. Found 15/15 caches and was happy with my day. Every cache was found in good condition. The trail was very well-marked and was one of the least muggle-filled ones I have been on since moving to Denver. Overall, great day. Thanks for all the caches.

I visited today and replaced the ziplock bag. The cache is in good shape. It was nice to visit, read the logs, and remind myself why I chose this spot for a geocache.

The bag with the log doesn’t seal well, but other than that great hide! Cool spot

Found 15 caches in this park with Bhob while targeting the Trailmix cache, and the oldie. We parked at the east lot, and clocked just over 8 miles.

More uphill, yay! ;)

Thanks a-pineapple! Logged Half-Way-Down from a seventh galaxy using c:geo!
