Sissipahaw

A former small tribe of North Carolina, presumably Siouan, from their alliance and associations with known Siouan tribes. The site of their former village, known in 1728 as Haw Old Fields, was noted as the largest body of fertile land in the area. It was probably situated about the present Saxapahaw on Haw River, in the lower part of Alamance County, North Carolina. Nothing more is known of them beyond the general statement that they and other tribes of the region joined the Yamasee against the English in the war of 1715.

Today I came out to the Hudson area on a caching frenzy. I headed up I-76 and started caching while headed east. Pretty amazing time. I saw one hawk, a few prairie dogs, lots of rabbits, and a few small herds of deer. As night fell, I'm sure that more animals saw me than I saw them.
No problems here. TFTC!

Stopped on my way to Wiley Roots and Weldwerks breweries for some special beer releases. Tried to make the round trip in my Leaf but needed to add a 30 minute charge before heading home to Arvada. Enjoyed the Search - Thanks
