Headed northeast for some numbers today, taking advantage of a cooler weather forecast. Came back to this one after a quick DNF, and checked again. There has been a burn here that got some of the trees and ground cover, apparently since the previous find. I found a melted glob that may well have been the cache container, and I could see the edges of folded paper in the middle of the glob. Slightly charred, I said ... that's a log! I added a replacement container just above where I found the fire survivor, and it is still there for your examination. Entertainment highlight of the day, plains caches not always without some adventure. TFTC
