Before World War II, most travel was done by rail. Tourists could visit Colorado Springs on the Rock Island Railroad. Enjoy the history of this railway while visiting the cache site!


The cache is near some nice rocks to climb on and benches to rest.
This cache has been the "first find" for many geocachers! Please rehide it after you find it so it doesn't get taken or vandalized. It is relatively easy, so enjoy!

149th cache found. Decided to take this trail this morning as it was chilly and knew there would be less folks on the path. Lucy (my four-legged member of the team) came with me in search of our 150th cache. The listing showed only 1 trackable in here but there were more. I think someone didn't know how to "Discover" a trackable. TFTC!

Colorado Road Trip!

Headed out for a long weekend road trip with a small number of hand picked caches. I headed south to Topeka and then to Colorado Springs, next to Cheyenne and Rapid City before heading home. I camped most of the way when I could find campgrounds. The scenery was incredible and the hikes in the mountains worth the trip. All these caches made the trip worth every minute!

Once I found a way in this was a nice walk after a long car ride from Topeka to stretch my legs.

TFTC I came down from Woodland Park to find some caches with geobuddy, nicehice. We are working on a variety of types today.

I signed a Challenge this Spring while attending the MOGA Mega event in Lincoln, NE. It requires a number of ‘island’ caches and this one fits the bill.

All was in good shape. It is good to find another of your caches.
