There was an archived puzzle cache that used to be here (GC6WGK6). I came out here to try to look for it, but it was not anywhere, so I made my own cache. Same puzzle, same D/T, and (probably) same container and spot as the original.

108 years in fact!

This VERY simple puzzle cache is not at the posted coordinates. They point to the location T&A had the pleasure of watching our beloved team win their first MLB Championship in the last 108 years! By answering a simple question in the checker you will be given the final coordinates.

We are new to town and have been having a lot of novel experiences in Denver. Among our favorite so far is watching our favorite baseball team win game seven of the World Series last night at a local watering hole.

To solve this simple puzzle simply type the name of the team that won their first title in over 100 years last night into the checker!”

That was the original cache description. As said, solve the puzzle and enter the team name into the checker below. Enter only the team name. No city.

11/1/2016 is the night referred to as “last night”

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Congrats to vegantriathlete for the FTF!

We walked the geo-pup around the lake today and found this one on our journey. I am not a big baseball fan; but even I knew the solution to this puzzle without looking it up. That was a very famous win and I imagine fans of the team were ecstatic. Thanks for resurrecting this archived cache.

I wondered how long ago the other cache had been archived. So, I looked in the graveyard of caches on Geocaching.com and it turns out the original mystery cache was archived right around the same time I got back into geocaching (Spring of 2018). From 2001 to 2017, I had logged a paltry 24 geocaches. Eight of those years had zero finds. Can you believe that!!??!! Much like the team featured in this mystery cache, I had an awakening and BAM! I am geocaching again. Now I geocache as a team with Tricia and we prefer to walk or geocycle to caches. But I'll admit that the geo-mobile comes in handy for mystery caches that are far away and for attending geocaching events. Thanks for the trip down our geocaching "memory lane" and for the walk around the lake, RubberDuck804.

It’s been quite awhile since I found the first hide, so it was nice to see a new one! Always enjoy a walk by the lake. Signed log. Thanks for the cache!

This was an interesting and straightforward puzzle. Enjoyed the short walk to the final coords and had it in hand quickly. TFTC
