I  HAVE ENJOYED  HIDING CACHES FOR EVERYONE, AND I'VE WANTED TO MAKE THEM FUN AND EDUCATIONAL. I AM AN AVIATION ENTHUSIAST AND SO I DECIDED TO START A SERIES ON AVIATION - I HOPE YOU WILL ENJOY THIS CACHE WHICH FEATURES THE 747!

THE 747 IS ONE OF THE MOST RECOGNIZABLE AIRCRAFT BECAUSE OF ITS TRADITIONAL DOUBLE DECK "BUBBLE" THAT IS UNIQUE TO THIS MODEL AIRCRAFT.  MADE BY THE BOEING AIRCRAFT COMPANY,  IT STARTED FLYING IN 1969. IT CAN SEAT A LITTLE OVER 500 PASSENGERS AND CREW, AND CAN TRAVEL 6,600 NAUTICAL MILES.

747's ARE FLOWN BY COMPANIES LIKE AIR FRANCE, BRITISH AIRWAYS, LUFTHANSA, CHINA AIR, SOUTH KOREA, AND A FEW AMERICAN COMPANIES LIKE UNITED AND UPS, WHICH ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT FREQUENT FLIGHTS INTO DENVER NOW A DAYS.

SPOTTING AND IDENTIFYING THESE AIRCRAFT IS RELATIVELY EASY. THE BUBBLE IS THE MAIN KEY, AND IT HAS FOUR ENGINES ON ITS WINGS.

ANOTHER UNIQUE CLAIM FOR THIS AIRCRAFT, BESIDES THE BUBBLE, IS THAT IT IS THE AIRFRAME THAT IS USED FOR AIR FORCE ONE. THERE ARE TWO OF THESE AIRCRAFT THAT ARE PAINTED AND OUTFITTED FOR THIS ROLE. DEPICTED IN A MOVIE WITH HARRISON FORD TITLE EXACTLY THAT, "AIR FORCE ONE", IT IS AN AIRCRAFT THAT IS SUITED FOR LONG AND SHORT DURATION FLIGHTS JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. THE INSIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT IS ALSO ACCURATELY DEPICTED IN THE SAME MOVIE, EXCEPT FOR THE CONTROVERSIAL ESCAPE HATCH. BELOW IS A PICTURE OF THE NUMBER ONE 747, OR VC-25A AS THE AIR FORCE CALLS IT, FLYING INTO COLORADO SPRINGS.

I PLACED THIS CACHE HERE BECAUSE WHEN AIR FORCE ONE COMES TO DENVER YOU WILL FIND IT FLYING STRAIGHT OVER THIS CACHE ON ITS LANDING PATH INTO BUCKLEY AFB WHEN LANDING ON RUNWAY 32. YOU MAY ALSO SEE A 747 ON ITS WAY IN TO DENVER FROM HERE WHEN LANDING ON RUNWAY 35 LEFT OR 35 RIGHT.

In pursuit of finally the Hidden Creatures, we teamed up with PayMeCache and Heh324 to complete the souvenir challenge. Who know this may help us later with some other crazy challenge Cache.

Some may say we are crazy, but this game/hobby is one of the greatest gifts. Who doesn’t love a great scavenger hunt. Hiking, biking or driving hundreds of miles to sign our name on a piece of paper. This brings us a lifetime of joy.
