Community Celebration Events - 2020

This Event is part of a limited release of Community Celebration Events to celebrate 20 years of geocaching. Geocachers hosted events between May 2, 2020 and December 31, 2020. Learn more about Community Celebration Events on the Geocaching Blog.

This day we shall celebrate the commuity of geocaching at Starbucks 287 and miramonte broomfield ,co 80020 from 10am to 12pm we shall have a meet and greet and then a trackable swap , this is a great oppertuity and i am happy to have recived it to share with my geocaching friends in the commuity see you there. As the event host i will not be resposible for paying for any food or drink .

i have postpone this till sep 6 if the virus has not improved by then i will re plan i do not see this pandemic lasting till September . if this event has to be archived let me know so i can give the attendees a chance to log it to be fare to them.

Geocaching HQ is posting this updated Announcement on all Community Celebration Events.

As the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) situation is evolving rapidly around the world, Geocaching HQ urges all Event hosts and attendees to prioritize the safety of themselves and their attendees.

At this time, we advise Event hosts to consult their regional health authorities to understand the guidance regarding gatherings of people. Generally, Geocaching HQ leaves the decision to Event hosts on whether to continue hosting the Event and to attendees on whether they will participate. In some regions, community volunteer reviewers may suspend publishing new geocaches, including Events and/or may disable, retract, or archive already published Events, in accordance with guidance from health authorities.

We want to allow flexibility for hosts who need to reschedule their published Community Celebration Events due to COVID-19 concerns. If hosts wish to reschedule their Community Celebration Event:

    Create an Announcement log to notify users that the Event is cancelled and may be rescheduled.
    Disable the Community Celebration Event.
    Contact the publishing reviewer to retract the Event.
    Update the Event date.
    Submit listing for publication.
We understand it can be very disappointing to miss the connections that are made at Events. But please remember that geocaching is a location-based game, and locationless Events or virtual logging of Events are not permitted by the Geocaching guidelines. HQ appreciates that the community is so strong that players want to keep in touch virtually and we encourage doing so using other online platforms. Read the Geocaching Blog for tips about how to stay active with geocaching during these challenging times. Thank you for your understanding.
