This is a multicache that I conceived to help several troop 94 scout members earn their geocaching merit badge as well as letting them know how much fun it can be to get out in the great outdoors!

This is a multi stage cache sequence that can involve simple waypoint projections and converting gps coordinate formats!

The 1st stage is a virtual stage in which you need to obtain information to get you throught the next stages.

Go to the listed begining coords and find the 8th plank of wood on the nearby sign and note its words or word. Take the information and perform a character sum of letters involved. example A=1 B=2 C=3 Z=26 add these characters togther to come up with a 2 digit sum.

Stage 2 will be at: (character value) + 60 meters North and (character value) - 41 meters East. Find second stage!

Final: convert needed information at stage 2 to go find the Final

Stages 2 & 3 are both well hidden. The coordinate conversion threw us for a bit while we tried to figure out what system was being used, but we got it in the end. Fun hunt, thanks for the cache!

Came down this afternoon to grab some more caches with pyrusticia. Enjoyed each stage of this puzzle. Very well done. Thanks for the cache

Sure is nice to be able to quickly swap datum and such on a Garmin. Stage 1 worked out well, and Stage 2 was found quickly, thanks to the fingers and not the eyes. Don't overrun the coordinates at Stage 3 and the find will be quicker! We got a little carried away and had to 'back up' a few feet to make the find.

I was on the phone so ecanderson did the work to get to the final. Tricky hide. TFTC

I tried to locate the Final several days ago and was unsuccessful. Today I returned and had it in hand within a minute. I had searched the specific hiding spot on my earlier visit and had overlooked the cache! I'm pleased to have the {FTF} on this nicely created multi. The second stage, in particular, is neatly crafted. Thanks for the thought and work that went into this sequence, tinytuttle!
