To find the north coordinates for this log-only geocache, you need to solve the puzzle included in this page. Everything you need to solve the puzzle is here. And I will start you out by telling you clearly and unambiguously that this particular geocache can be located at N 39.54.xxx. That is, you will first need to figure out what “xxx” means to know the exact north coordinates. In order to make this easier, I will also tell you that the idea for this cache came from an elite cacher who rarely gets a DNF in this high-tech game. Actually, he did not so much give me the idea as he inspired me to create this type of puzzle cache. OK this is also stretching it as he merely suggested something like a crossword puzzle but this was as close as I could get and I had already started on this one anyway. And yes, Virginia, he really does exist. I hope that both you and he will find both the solving of the puzzle to have some entertainment value, as the hunting thereafter will be far less challenging. So review it all carefully to deduce the solution.

If you have already discovered or solved the puzzle to obtain the north digits, you are very close to finishing this part of the cache and you are undoubtedly ready to start solving for the western coordinates. These coordinates can be found using a very similar technique, but not exactly in the same modus operandi. As with the north coordinates, I will also let you know that the container is at W 104.59.”yyy”. But the last three digits are what you have to figure out in order to narrow your search to a reasonable area. You will not need UTM or triangulation and no known equations will likely be of any help. Except for the cryptic and encrypted clue offered below, I will not provide any further hints. OK, maybe one more. Parking is nearby and the container is not camo or hidden in such a way as to make it difficult to find. I averaged three different readings to get the coordinates so unless I made another transcription error you should be able to rely on your GPSr.

after making a deal off a lifetime i was able to come and log this one as a find thanks for another great cache the bushes have been removed and after cheeking every white rock i left a replacement at the old sign post hope this one lasts sl tnln

After a long search we couldn't find the replacement cache the previous finder mentioned. We didn't have a magnetic cache with us, so we hid a new replacement cache under the bigger white rock near the bush.
Out and about snagging caches with dustyriver.

We had to drop my car off at Toyota to get a recall done on it and while that was happening we headed out to go grab some more of these puzzle caches. Searched the area and all we found was a magnet at GZ. We placed a new container with log with the magnet at GZ to keep cache going. SL,TFTC

I feel like the archaeologist exploring ancient ruins -- five and a half years it is waiting in its hiding place for me to come and expose it to sunlight. Some wear and tear on the container, but log in good shape. Must be a good hide. Had a tiny bit of help from a previous finder to keep me from heading off in the wrong direction on the puzzle solution. Almost done with the Star series now, one find to go. TFTC!
