Easy bike/hike (6.2mi one way) on hard packed/maintained dirt road with about 300' Elev. gain along Platte River Stream to Strontia Resevior Dam. (Beginning of CO Trail.) Several picnic areas along the way and at the end & pack fishing poles. Take C470 & exit on Wadsworth (#121) to south (becomes So. Platte Canyon Rd) for 5.6mi and turn left and park at the second parking lot (Waterton Canyon). Follow trail (paved then dirt road) to the west.
Original "ammo box" cache contains: cache log, prismatic stickers, "OK" rubber stamp, tropical fish erasers, helicopter & piano pencil sharpners, box of chalk, "Condential" cassette tape, monster police vehicle, fun puzzle & police tow truck.

My seventh of thirteen caches found with Sissadies and cajrrman. He invited us on a bike ride today at Waterton. Our first time bike riding in years, that was a brutal but fun intro since we went about 16+ miles round trip. Definitely need better bike seat, ouch! Also pretty sure I accidentally put tomorrow's date on our log, oops.

Had to spread the search a little. But we succeeded. Thanks for keeping this active for so long! Fave!

We met some great people at the picnic area and introduced them to geocaching! It was a great cache, too. I left off a travel bug.

Found this with the kids. Nice cache, beautiful view. I had no idea the dam was so large. On this hike we saw geese, ducks, deer, a fox, and a large black snake. Cache is in good shape. We left a new wrapped Lego cup and liberated the red monkey. He will join the others we have in a barrel. Thanks.
