Scenic view  Significant hike  Available during winter  Dangerous Animals  Cliff / falling rocks  Parking available

The adventure begins at the Rifle Arch Trailhead.

There are many ways to approach this one but following the wash may be the easiest.

The terrain is not for the lighthearted, and the final approach will be a little tricky if the ground is wet.

The canyons and washes in this area are home to feline predators. Keep a sharp eye all around while hiking.
I saw a few cat tracks along the wash while hiking to this location.

The container is small, camoed, and tucked into the rock formation.

Congratulations to cateyes440 on the FTF!...their first one no less. =)

I also navigated to this cache from Deadwood. That's some tricky terrain. I crossed "the gorge", climbed the wrong ridge and had to negotiate "another gorge". The Goblin Ridge is pretty cool looking. I love a good adventure although most of my adventures are my own fault. I was very happy to take the slightly easier way out of there. Nice spot. I often wonder what makes DARR get into these strange, off-the-beaten-path places.

Thanks for the great cache. Awesome location, this is why I love geocaching. I would have never found this cool spot if someone haddn't taken the time to put a cache here.

There is no easy way to get here. Once again, I thought it would be a good idea to go straight here from Deadwood. Strike two for decision making today.
