Fun cache at a very interesting location. Elevation here is at 5786 feet above sea level. If accessing by foot be aware of prairie dog holes, local critters and sharp fauna.

Well hidden container with a log only. BYOP!!
This cache was placed with the help and blessing of the Craig, CO BLM LSFO. Although the gate may be locked at times, permission has been granted to access the property on foot to locate this cache.
This cache is placed at the Sand Wash Corral. This corral is used for the adoption of wild horses which are occasionaly rounded up by the BLM. If you continue on county road 67, which is an OHV designated route, into the Sand Wash Basin you will be rewarded with encounters of large bands of wild horses. They are very unique in their coloration and personality. There are also some very awesome scenic vistas and geologic formations to be seen.
Have fun! Take the camera!!

We are heading to NorthWest Colorado for a long weekend. The goal is to visit Dinosaur National Monument and collect a bunch of Delorme pages at the same time.

This is our second day out. I scored six new Delorme pages. We made it to the Utah side of Dinosaur National Monument and visited the bones.

When I told Ms. Anne we might see wild horses, she was happy to take a detour on a back road before going to Dinosaur. The road wasn't bad, and beautiful country, if you like the style. I regretted leaving my good camera in the car, as the corral offered some interesting pattern shots against the sky and buttes. Anyway, we found something that was not "well hidden", but could be nothing other than a cache. We couldn't open it to sign the log.

This was the first for page 12, but I went for another in case the Cache Owner tells me I didn't find the cache. Except this is on page 13, so I still have a tough page to get, living in Denver.

Didn't sign the log KAJW. Took nothing. Left nothing. Thanks for the cache!

In the area for the Great American Horse Roundup. Taking a side trip to explore the Sand Wash Basin to look for wild horses. Saw many.

Redemption! Justice! Eased my pain! So glad to finally get back to this one, and add a smiley to the geo game board. A pretty fer piece from Montana, erase a previous dnf
Gets a fav, and thanks to the cache owner for bringing me to one of my all time favorite places.
This was home for twenty plus years, and I miss it.
Happy trails,
