Dogs  Scenic view  Available during winter  Cliff / falling rocks

An adventure for a short hike with great views and no people. I took my 4yr old daughter with me. But had to hold her hand around the cliffs and some of the rocks. There is no trail on the ridge but you can find an easy path to the top if you go around the rock out croppings. Park off the dirt road N39 deg 35.850, W 105 deg 21.922, take the trail that parallels Showshoe rd. then take the horse trail up to the ridge. Explore the ridge always going up.
My daughter selected the following items to start this cache,
2 pairs of kids sun glasses
chalk
whistle
colored feathers
a balloon
bracelet
a giraffe

TFTC! I love how geocaching brings you places that you did not know existed! No people or horses around today.

looking up at where the cache is from the road is a bit intimidating, I spent a couple of days out in this park with PDRhound setting up his multi. and it still did not look like an easy access. What a suprise! the walk up the ridge from the S, SW is a cool stroll though one of natures rock gardens. TFTC.

Found it then lost one of my dogs. Was up doing research for my soon to come "dog day afternoon" multi cache. I buried the cache real good for winter. left Evergreen fire LED keychain in case you find your self here after dark. Found dog, read poem, signed log. I have now been inspired by Stella for a nearby cache of her own.

I like the NO People part of this cache. A nice view. I went to another cache today, a Multi Cache, and man was that place crowded; I had to wait 30 minutes before I could move in for the kill. Anyhow, I took the toy car, and left a poem.
