Was here earlier in the spring... grandiose plans to walk down to 'the Dragon' were quickly put down by the amount of snow still lying about.
I wish I could resurrect the real date... Actually before the dnf's below, and the a/c was still in place- easy enough to find, as witnessed by dozens of signatures and notes on the papers inside, but not repeated on the cache page online. I had been quite surprised it survived so many non-caching visitors over the years.
Coming down the rr grade from the one up on the ridge, I chose to "detour" all the way through the tunnel. There was pleasantly little trash in there; and some amazing huge chunks of glass-clear ice. No formations on the walls or ceiling, though, so I was baffled as to where it came from.

I couldn't find this one today. There was still snow and ice at GZ, coupled with high winds, I didn't want to get too close to the edge so I may have just missed it.

Looked for 30 min. Hung off some uncomfortable rocks looking down for it. Could not find at all. People are saying it was an ammo can. Sad day. Had some track ales to drop off

Nice day and a very nice over-look. The dog even sat on the edge and enjoyed the view while I did the paper work. Will need to bring the bike and brother up here on his visit.
