An easy walk from the road in in the old picnic area. Just changed the container out for a ammo can, so it should last a bit longer.The fire of 2013 changed the landscape quite a bit. The picnic area is basically gone, but the cache is still in the same area. No longer is there a break in the trees to see Pikes Peak. The trees are gone, but the view is still pretty awesome.
While attending a teardrop (camper) gathering in the local area, we came across this nice view of the peak off in the distance and just had to put a cache here. Original contents include a log book, pen, Chinese finger trap or two, and a couple of small toys. Enjoy the view!
