On June 12th 2023, a sinkhole opened up on Jackass Hill Road. This sinkhole was a huge pain for people in the neighborhood, especially for the driver whose car was partially captured. 

 

For over two months, Jackass Hill was closed while repairs were made. The detours around the construction tripled commute times for some in the surrounding neighborhoods and were generally a blight on the summer.

 

Finally, on August 21st, over two months after its creation, the sinkhole was no more and life returned to normal.

 

This cache is in memory of that trying time over the summer of '23.

 

The cache is a micro so tweezers might be necessary to retrieve the log. This is a fairly busy intersection but stealth should be achievable. There is no parking on Jackass Hill Road but there are cross streets nearby for parking.

Had to go quite a ways to find a legal place to park. Hint was useful since the GZ was about 50 feet off. SL with wrong date, used 11/1 instead of 10/1.

Not sure why the original coordinates were off, but I believe these are accurate.
