This is a small container hidden under a SPOR overlooking Hunter Canyon. However, do NOT come to this cache via 21 Road, also known as Hunter Canyon. You may think you can, based on the maps, but it is not a friendly road at all. Come up 16 Road, and then Coal Gulch Road. You can get to about a half mile away in a normal pickup. Then it's about 0.3 miles on an ATV road, and about 0.3 miles of hiking. We came up today by parking at the Salt Creek Crossing at the end of 16 Road, and riding our ATV's the 13.5 miles to the end of the line. Trail information indicates this area is still closed because of last year's wildfire, but that is not true. It is very much open.

Just one more word of caution. Coal Gulch Road is also known as V.8 Road. When you come to the place where 213 Road takes off to the left of V.8 (the fork in the road) continue on with V.8 (off to the right and up the hill). If you try to take 213 Road, you will most likely regret it.

Kind of small pill bottle under a SPOR on a safe rock outcropping. The views are tremendous and worth the effort.

Congrats to coyotebustr for the FTF!

I was here with my friends the CO and his wife during the placement of this cache but would not log it until it had a FTF. No one had logged Rocho View for 8 years so I wasn't going to wait that long. Congrats Coyotebustr for the quick FTF so I could log it.. This was a replacement cache for Rocho View as I thought it might be lost in the fire but it was in great shape even though the fire burnt everything around it so we decided to use it. Maybe with 2 caches here more people will make the trip.
