It was an exiting game on Monday, April 5th in New York. We begin at the top of the first inning as Coleman steps up to the plate with the bases loaded. On the first pitch he bunts the ball to Hayes who is then able to easily get Fernandez out by throwing the ball to Girardi. The fans are so excited that this causes a break in the game for a period. When play resumes, Murray comes to the plate and hits the ball to Bichette who throws it Girardi to get the second out. Bonilla is the next batter but is quickly fooled by a curve ball and pops it over to Young who easily catches the ball and ends the inning.

At the top of the ninth inning, Gallager comes to the plate with the bases loaded and one out. After fouling two balls, Gallager hits a fly ball to Hayes who catches the ball easily and gets the second out. Johnson comes to the plate and on the first pitch hits a rocket directly at Hayes once again. Hayes reaches slightly over his right shoulder and makes the catch for the game ending play. What a way to end the game!

Cache is at:

N 39. first inning
W 105.01. last inning

Thanks for a easy cache to locate and let me get one more interplanetary souvenir. There was a “homeless” lady begging nearby so I thought might be a problem but she left me alone to get the cache. TFTC

Check the logs. I've been trying to find this cache for over 8 years. And, well, tonight I can finally claim success! You don't know how good that feels. Thanks mondou2!

We had to drop my car off at Toyota to get a recall done on it and while that was happening we headed out to go grab some more of these puzzle caches. SL,TFTC

I happened to be looking for another cache nearby and I saw that this cache was only a few tenths of a mile away. My wife grabbed a cup of coffee and I grabbed the cache. Thanks for the puzzle!

Thanks, mondou2! I appreciate that you did maintenance on this one so quickly. Now that I am in retirement mode, I have some time to work on the puzzles. They always get a favorite point from me. I went out early this morning starting out with a puzzle cache and ending with a puzzle cache. In between I found a dozen more that were between the two. I run a pocket query of the 950 caches nearest our home, so I have plenty of caches to choose from. If I see that I probably will not find the cache because of snow, I just readjust and look for another nearby. I never run out of caches to find.

I got the confirmation for the coordinates, and I gave it a good look, but I could not find it. I put it on my watch list to go again when I get an encouraging update.

I DNFd this cache back in February 2009, and over 6 years later I must claim another DNF. I guess this is one Star I am not meant to find, but geez, I sure felt like I looked everywhere in the vicinity at least three times over.
