My boyfriend proposed to me near this spot on May 27, 2012!  Having told me that there was a geocache near the lake (which was untrue) he drug me through spring runoff (off trail), over snow pack, and up and down the rocky ledge. He raced ahead to hide the cache and when I caught up to him he claimed the GPS was out of batteries.  All I wanted was some of the chocolate we brought, but he insisted "we" find the cache first.  After a fake cache description and several hints I found this cache.  I turned to exclaim I found it and he was already down on one knee...

Bring your own small sparkling trinket to share!  Note: compartment is fairly small.

12:15:00 PM Out in the high country enjoying the great fall color. Thanks! Replaced this with the owners permission. The little tree is now your friend.

As much as I'd love to claim a smiley for this one, I never did lay eyes on it. Made the beautiful hike to the top and searched only about 10 minutes, as bugs were terrible and a storm was threatening to come in. Soooooo many places to hide a micro, I just ran out of time. Beautiful spot though.

I noticed this one a long time ago, and always had it on the radar, today we decide to make a run ( walk) for it. It was already noon and knew it might be a race against the weather. hopes we not very high since it seems there wer eno logs of any kind.
it was a nice hike and very popular with trail with with hikers and 4-wheelers, the last .5 mile was indeed a race against the weather. The chihuahua lake is very beautifull and larger then expected.
The hope on finding a micro were very little, giving incoming thunderstorm, but as long as the raina dn lighting stay away, we are good. how are we going to find a camouflaged micro in this area ??
After 5min, my wife piciked up some litter, a ziplog bag and other plast, and damned the litterbugs.
It was the cash laying right into the open and its content exposed, maybe it was extrract by the elements or by an animal, who knows !hard to believe we foud like this. Signed the log put everything back together and placed it in a positon where i hope it is protected from the elements and a possible homeowner , who knows... lets hope it stays in place this this time.
Overal, this one is not easy to find , until you spot it , then you go duh....
We did get hailed/rained on a bit, but overal ,worthwhile afternoon, and we plan to come back here again to spent more time at the area...
As a trofee and for the effort, my wife gained a sparkler :)
