The cache is not at the listed coordinates. Solve the puzzles below
to get the coordinates for the cache. I love word and number
puzzles. This is part of a series of puzzle caches. Note: the final
is in a high muggle area.
These puzzles are called Jidokus. I recently discovered this new
type of Sudoku-style puzzle and wanted to share it.
In Jidoku puzzles, the clues are provided in the form of "jigs", or
symbols between squares that resemble "greater-than" and
"less-than" symbols. The jigs indicate if adjacent numbers are
greater-than or less-than each other. This is the only information
you have to go on. Fill in the blank squares so that each row, each
column, and each 3x3 block contain all the digits 1 thru 9 (similar
to a standard Sudoku). On the easier puzzle, you can use logic to
solve the puzzle without making guesses. For the harder ones, it
may take some trial-and-error. There is only one unique solution
for each puzzle.
There are three puzzles, and you will need to solve all three to
get the clues to the final coordinates. The three puzzles go up in
difficulty. (I made the difficulty rating a "4" because there are
three puzzles, and they get progressively harder.) I recommend you
start with the "Hard" one first, then go up from there.
