Clever hiding spot! TFTC

Found it 09/26/2021 By lasouthpaw
Stopped by here with JrPuppyPaw both yesterday and today. I thought I put LostInDenver's coords as a waypoint, but I may have put them in as corrected coords. So I was on the wrong side of the street. We looked around for a while, and then a homeless person started walking towards us shouting the F bomb. So we hopped in the car and decided to head out. After confirming which side of the street is correct, we stopped back today and made the find. Thanks for the cache!

This was much tougher than I expected for a 1.5 difficulty. I was lucky enough to get free parking. Someone pulled away as I pulled up and they left 11 minutes on the meter. Little did I know it wouldn't be enough. I needed about 3 times as much. I got out and noticed that there is not a hiding spot at the GZ. So I started looking around to the east at what seemed to be the right place. The hint made me think the coords might be a little off. So I looked around, but couldn't make the find. Then a muggle, who was already walking slow, stopped near the area I was searching. So I retreated to the Jeep to think about possible hiding spots. The muggle left at the same time a work van pulled up and decided to eat lunch on the very host I wanted to search. About 10 minutes later they pulled off and I started kicking everything around as the hint suggests. Nothing. I reached to the heavens for help and got it. After excluding every possible hiding spot at the GZ, I moved further west. Nothing. I searched all the way to the end of the rock bed to the east. Nothing. Then I crossed the street and found it within 56 feet of the coords.
At the container, my GPS read N 39° 43.824 W 104° 59.377.
Thanks for the cache.

FTF at 12:41. More later! I am on my geocycle and have to get home.

Well...time to write more for this neat cache! I am giving it a favorite point for its construction. I geocycled over to the area and had to avoid street paving on Speer. When I arrived at GZ, I started my search. I initially started looking on the wrong side of the street. An Amazon delivery person joined me in my search. Then a man looking for change in/around the parking meters joined my search. Eventually the man looking for spare change gave up. The Amazon delivery worker had to deliver some packages nearby. I switched the side of the street I was looking on and found the cache immediately! I waited for the Amazon delivery worker to come back and showed him where the cache was. He thought it was super cool. I wouldn't be surprised if we have a new geocacher on our hands in the future. TFTC!
