Schist is a metamorphic rock formed from shale.  Actually this cache is hidden in a Gneiss which is a metamorphic rock formed from igneous or sedimentary rock.  But we liked the name Holey Schist so much that we decided to use that name anyway.  Pronounce it carefully! ;-)

I am out from Aurora, Colorado. I am loving the geocaching out here in the Mountains of Colorado. I just road the train in Chama, NM. I am heading back home. Highway 160 was closed due to the forest fire. at least 285 is reopened. I have to take this back way home. On the Bright side I get to hit some more geocaches. Thank you for the hide. TNLN.

We had to make 3 trips from car to cache after we located to figure out how to retrieve container. Retrieve we did, signed log and back up the hill again
