I ride my bike along this path a lot and this building has been begging me to create this cache.

NOTE  11/7/16

The second container got muggled, so I relocated it slightly and made it magnetic bison.

This straightforward multi is intended to answer the nagging question, “What does that stand for?”  (No brain cells were destroyed in designing this cache, nor should you fear wasting any by solving it.)

At the given coordinates, you will find a sign that will fill in the blanks in the title of the cache.  Let “A” equal the number of letters in the last word in stone.

Now go a short distance to

   40   0. (A+1) (A-4) (A+2)

 -105  14. (A+3) (A+2) (A)

Read the lettering on the wall to the south to learn what the acronym stands for.

Let “B” equal the number of letters in the fifth word of the name of the facility.

Coords for the puzzle solution are:

   40   0 . (A+B-4) (B+2)   (B+2)

 -105  14 . (B+2)   (A+B-8) (B-2)

The mag bison cache is within 250 yards of the initial coords.  Log only, no pen.

Not sure how efficient they are about enforcing the posted parking restrictions;  you might want to park to the south across the street.  Or the lot to the north seems devoid of prohibiting signage.  Better yet, be like a true Boulderite and bike it.

I’ll blame this adventure on a combination of jet lag and trying to do math in the field!

Had forgotten my printout and thought I remembered what to do. Guess I didnt! Hunted for the wrong information until finally retreading the cache description. Headed to part two and ended up in an unlikely spot. Had to check math and rewalk my path. Thought I knew what to look for there but again was wrong. Reviewed the information and saw the error of my ways. Did a much better job with my second set of calculations and soon was in the right area to search.

The log seems slightly damp but not enough to make any challenge signing the log. Tried to make sure to seal the container well before replacing.

Thanks for the tour!

My son suggested I find this one. He found it last year and now he actually works here on East campus. Interesting container. Don’t think I’ve seen one like that
