I thought that I would place a cache in the name of conflicting rules and definitions, especially because I'm new to these parts and I don't want to carry over where I'm from to here and get ourselves in hot water, ya know . Sooo, on one hand, this area is an Open Space Preserve, so by definition, people may roam as they please. On the other hand, there are posted rules indicating for hikers and such to stay on the trails.

I'm aware that rules and regulations come down to property ownership and property owners/land managers can generally regulate as they please. Further, the average hiker and such isn't expected to know who owns every piece property they hike and bike on; rather, just to follow Da Rules, but what to do when there's a conflict, especially for us geocachers when there are caches placed....in many cases off-trail, for example in Open Space Preserves, but there are posted regulations that sometimes state otherwise.

Thoughts? Please post them in your log and above all else, please be safe

I came up with xia888, LilRyRy, and CDRSheppo for an event, and I put the oldest caches nearby on our list to find along the way. As I was inspecting elsewhere, I commented "Maybe it's actually over there." Shortly after xia888 made the find in the area I had suggested. Thanks for the cache!
