The cache is placed in an area of Rifle Mountain Park where rockclimbers from far and wide come to climb in the quiet surroundings that the area offers.

The GPSr reception in this area leaves much to be desired so I will offer directions to the cache:
Park in the parking area offered, cross the creek via the wooden foot bridge then turn right. Walk along, a very short distance , until you see a sprawling tree next to the creek. The cache is a regular size and is placed at the base of the tree, under a rock on the northern side.

This area can be smothered with muggles a times so Please use stealth during times of activity and cover the container well before leaving.

If you are just caching there is no need to pay a fee upon entering. It's only necessary if you are staying for the day or camping.

Thank you for this cache! What a beautiful valley! Today there were a lot of rock climbers and I believe just one parking spot available. So glad for your instructions on how to find it, otherwise I would not have been able to.

Picked a cold rainy day to look for this cache. Perfect weather to keep the muggles away!! Took some looking and the directions to find it. TFTC

Found it. The gps is definitely off because of it being in a canyon. It was a little longer walk than we thought and the tree was not next to the creek. It would depend on the time of year as to how high the creek is. But we found it! THTC

I looked last summer about this time, and again this year and DNF. Looked at the base of three different sprawling trees. I'm wondering if it's still there.
