Sadie Hawkins Day When: Always on November 13 Here is a holiday that originated from a cartoon. It all began in Al Capp's "Lil Abner Cartoon in the 1930's. In the cartoon series, the mayor of Dogpatch was desperate to marry off his ugly daughter. So he created Sadie Hawkin's Day. On this day, a race is held and all the single men were given a short head start. If a woman catches her man, he had to marry her. Sadie Hawkins Day races and events grew in popularity during the course of All Capp's long running cartoon. This cartoon made holiday largely died out after 40 years when the cartoon was discontinued. It can occasionally be seen celebrated on college campuses.

Log wet, left new bag for the log, will return with a ziploc bag & new log book, perhaps bring the original log home to dry, then return? Please advise, this is my 1st logged cache, I'm a newbie!

Working in Denver Early in the week but able to sneak the day off to get some new counties, older caches and new state. Since the weather cut the plan short just getting a few for numbers. First regular of the day. Nice Thanks for the hide.

T F T C - - - - I’m having a great time in Colorado Geocaching and sight seeing. Staying with a good friend in Centennial. I decide to hit the flat lands for my July 4th adventure. I got a early start to avoid some of the heat.

I appreciate your efforts in placing this cache for our geocaching enjoyment. It is always a great day to be out and about geocaching. Good job! I had a fun time finding it. Once again, TFT$ LTFAHG-Like to Find and Hide Geocaches.
